Chardonnay from Barossa Valley, Australia: Peter Lehmann Chardonnay 2008

A delicate pale lemon color, it shows fresh white peach, a hint of fig and some barrel complexity on the nose. It is a beautifully balanced and restrained wine with excellent soft fruit definition; a stylish and elegant face of Chardonnay.

15% of the fruit underwent wild ferment in new French oak hogsheads, the balance was fermented cold in stainless steel, then the components were matured for a further 6 months on yeast lees.
