Chardonnay from Willamette Valley, Oregon: Adelsheim Chardonnay 2008

This Chardonnay features intense fruit character and a luscious texture. It offers fresh, crisp flavors of pear, white peach, star fruit and kiwi. It pairs well with rich seafood and poultry dishes, and hard Alpine cheeses - comte, fontina, cave-aged gruyere.

A mix of vineyard sites contribute to this juicy Chardonnay, with a luscious core of apple, melon and lime. Mostly stainless steel fermented, but about 15% was placed in neutral barrels to add textural richness. No malolactic fermentation took place, keeping the acids fresh and juicy.
