Chardonnay from South Africa: Goats do Roam Goat Door 2006

Goat Door is lightly oaked, allowing the Chardonnay fruit flavors to emerge. Lees contact adds complexity, but the wine remains fresh, and characteristic of the Goats do Roam style.

Color: Pale straw

Aroma: Fresh limes and hazelnuts with lanolin.

Palate: Subtle oak flavors mingle with mandarin rind and apple flavors. Firm mouthfeel with good acid, and a rich finish.

Cellaring: Drink now, or within two years.
