Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand: Brancott Estate B Sauvignon Blanc 2008

Aromas of blackcurrant and gooseberry with underlying black olive notes dominate the nose. The palate shows a rich concentration of pure Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc characters. The fresh capsicum notes are complemented by an oily texture, tantalising minerality and gooseberry flavors, held together by a crisp acidity.

Dramatic, aromatic and elegantly proportioned, with vivid grapefruit, green apple, passion fruit and vaguely piney aromas and flavors competing for attention on a sleek frame that lets the finish reverberate nicely.
